Do We Dream Under the Same Sky?
How do we dream our way through the landscape of crisis? Do We Dream Under the Same Sky invites audiences to a clinic for healing - a place where reality and fantasy together. Inside the clinic, five individuals are portrayed wrestling with the residual effects of a transformed world. Through repetitive actions, they seek healing
between what is called reality and a dreamlike state. The performance delves into themes of isolation, memories and fragile trust in the shadow of the pandemic and its aftermath - rising populism, economic inequality and low trust in the media. How do we deal with the grief and confusion when reality itself is questioned? The work is an attempt to process this ‘post-truth’ -era by celebrating the imagination as a tool of resistance.
