The Waiting Room

by Tom Oliver Jacobson

A waiting room of a fictional clinic—a space symbolizing healing and transition. Two screens juxtapose real political footage from 2020–2024 with fictional film scenes that uncannily mirror reality, blurring the boundary between fantasy and the "post-truth" political landscape. This interplay invites visitors to question their own perceptions and the condition of the world around them. Born from the pandemic's disruption, the work explores isolation, collective memory, and the fragility of trust.
